I just recieved this urgent call to action from my friends at All Out, a new international online movement dedicated to accelerating full equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans people around the world.  All Out is trying to get 100,000 to come together to tell the US Government to stop the deportations of 36,000 same-sex partners- please sign the petition:

Josh and Henry on their wedding day

"Our family is being ripped apart..."

After five years of love and commitment, Josh and his husband Henry from Venezuela are about to be ripped apart¹ by the US government - and 36,000 other couples face the same fate.

If Josh and Henry were a straight couple, Josh could easily sponsor Henry's visa and keep their family together.  But even though President Obama promised to stop defending the national law that refuses to recognize gay marriages,² his administration continues to block Josh from sponsoring Henry's visa.  On May 6, Henry faces a deportation that will separate them for 10 years.

As head of Obama's Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano can keep Josh and Henry - and thousands of other loving couples - from being torn apart by calling a moratorium on deportations until the courts can decide whether to recognize same-sex partnerships.  It's within her power,
³ but it will take a huge public outcry to force her to take a stand.

Ask her to do the right thing and stop the deportations before its too late by going to www.allout.org/tornapart
